Dollar in Clackmannanshire, Scotland is a compact market town tucked at the southern foot of the Ochil Hills. It’s best known for the steep, wooded Dollar Glen and the dramatic ruins of Castle Campbell, which overlook the town and provide popular routes for hillwalkers, wildlife-spotters and summer visitors.
The town has a pleasant main street of 18th- and 19th-century stone buildings and is home to the long-established independent school Dollar Academy, which contributes strongly to local life. Once a traditional market centre, today Dollar combines tourism and outdoor recreation with many residents commuting to nearby centres such as Stirling and Perth, while maintaining an active community scene of clubs and events.
