Four Marks is a large village and civil parish in the district of East Hampshire, in rural Hampshire between the market towns of Alton and Alresford. It sits on gently rolling chalk downland and heath, and its name is said to come from the meeting of four parish boundaries; the settlement only really expanded from scattered farms and smallholdings in the late 19th and early 20th centuries rather than being an ancient nucleated village.
