Linton is a sizeable village roughly seven miles south‑east of Cambridge in South Cambridgeshire, Cambridgeshire, England. It sits on the valley of the River Granta beneath the Gog Magog Hills, with a long High Street of historic houses, a conservation area and pleasant riverside and downland walks that give it a semi‑rural feel close to the city.
Historically rooted in the medieval period, the village retains a number of listed buildings and a strong local identity: small shops, a handful of pubs, sports clubs and an active village college and community calendar. Today Linton combines commuter links into Cambridge with surrounding arable farmland and a continuing local economy centred on services and small businesses.
